If you’re not someone who thinks about your mental well-being too often, it’s high time you start doing it now. A recent report by Forbes shows that nearly one-third of corporate employees have experienced symptoms of burnout in some form or the other. This rate has increased significantly over the years. The sad truth about corporate(and even life in general) is that there is always an ongoing competition that requires you to prove that you are better than others. What we don’t realise is that our constant fight to prove our worth deprives us of mental peace, which directly affects a major part of our life that lies outside of work. It’s saddening that we need to put in the effort to find time for things that bring us a sense of calm in our lives. But all you might need is an hour (or even half-hour) spread across your day for small activities that allow you to be present, to just be.
